Mission 1 accomplished
The best time for the factory to produce our cookie will be the first and second week of dec, an EMB msg will be posted to recruit volunteers from our school to sell them at the streets from third to fourth week, which is X'mas shopping season! That time sales will be damn good.
So firstly, we need to draft out a v touching letter to the factory that will make them cry. who can start the ball rolling? we don have much time left! :)
imbakers whoosh!

Cookies with Love
As can be seen from this picture, her dough is much softer and wetter, and lots of air bubbles are introduced to make it fluffy. I think for it to be not chewy, it'll sort of resemble CNY cookies.
As compared to ours. And haha being a bimbo, she exclaimed "HUH YOU ALL MAKE COOKIES IN A BASIN??"
Yup looks like that on the baking tray, extremely fluffy.
A close up look.

She says that this step is WRONG, cus cannot press down the dough like that. Like that is for making pastry. It will make the cookie hard cus air bubbles are gone.

GOT COOKIE TEXTURE!
A close up look of our cookie -.- HAHA can see sugar grains! It's the brown sugar's fault. The colour looks a bit WRONG HAHA.
Siao looks nice. I think the trick for packaging is to make the cookies like damn irregular shaped. So they cannot pack closely and will end up looking like there's a lot. Our heartshape ones are super flat and thus can pack nicely together.
Eh actually our heartshape looks quite nice.
Ok bascially end of baking session. Wanted to try out our recipe but we realised we got no ingredients. (As can be seen, we added raisins and M&Ms -.-)
I edited the recipe a bit. From our friday experience, the cookie baking experience just now and also some reading up online. Here it is. Basically most of the editing parts is the steps. Cus recipes are not supposed to be changed haha it may screw up. I only decreased the amount of sugar abit cus cousin says "add sugar to preference" and we are mixing brown and castor sugar.
THE Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
1) 1 Egg
2) ½ block butter (Haha i hope its correct, cus 15 ml makes no sense 15 ml is like one tablespoon)
3) ½ cup castor sugar
4) ¼ cup brown sugar (See if you all wanna change the amount of sugar or not. Scared screw up. I edited it to be in total 3/4 cups. The addition of brown sugar will make it sweet enough. Cus too much sugar, esp brown sugar makes the cookie sticky and chewy, and sticks to the teeth totally. Remember the second batch at jasmin's house, we added less sugar, turned out to be not so rock hard, although its CNY cookie-ish. But then its better to taste like CNY cookie-ish rather than risk it being rock hard and inedible.)
5) 2 cups of flour (Non-rising)
6) ½ tsp of baking powder
7) ½ tsp of vanilla essence
8) Pinch of salt (or ½ tsp)
9) 3 tsp cocoa powder (if too dark, add less cocoa powder. Too dark also not very nice)
10) ½ cup chocolate chip
11) ½ cup oatmeal (these 2 toppings i'm not sure yet, just a gauge. Try it out on monday but must be consistent for all batches)
Procedure:
* Preheat the oven first
1) Place soft butter and sugar in the mixing bowl, beat with electric mixer until fluffy. Ensure that butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
2) Add egg into mixture, beat until smooth. Halfway through, add vanilla extract. (All the wet items must add together, if not later the vanilla extract is not blended well enough)
3) Sift flour into mixture and mix. (Either by electric mixer or manually, use preferred way) (Hmm ours on Friday clogs up the electric mixer, but my sister says its not supposed to, that means we didnt beat enough at the start. If it still clogs up on monday, do manually, if not use the electric mixer) Halfway through, add baking powder, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt. The mixture will end up as a dough.
4) Mix in toppings and mix (in your preferred way) (again, depends on whether it clogs up or not) until they are well blended.
5) Take about half the dough and lay it on the tray. Spread the dough out gently to ensure that it is not too thick nor too thin. Be careful not to press the dough down too hard or the cookies may become hard. (this step is quite risky. i think this step is why the whole thing failed. cus the original cousin's recipe also stated that just use a spoon and make irregular shapes. the heart shape might have contributed to the texture cus we are rolling and pressing down and KNEADING the dough. i think we're not supposed to knead the dough haha cus its not bread. so just try to maintain its irregular texture as much as possible.)
6) Using the heart shaped mould, mould out cookies and transfer them on the tray.
7) Bake at 200 degrees for 8-10 min, or until golden brown. (Preferably using the silicone baking sheet to bake but omg i think we threw it away) Be sure to look at the cookies constantly to ensure that they do not overcook.
8)Cool for at least 10 min for cookies to turn hard before packaging. This is an important step.
Basically that's all.
I think i am suddenly enlightened. I think main problem is us kneading the dough as if its bread. That step wasn't in the original cookie recipe we act smart go knead the dough. So if we omit this step, i suppose there wont be any problem if we just stick to the ingredients and recipe.
Okay i hope monday won't screw up! Everyone go do a good deed today, hopefully we will have good karma and a miracle happens tmr to save us all.
If really cannot, just ensure that its not burnt, looks nice, can sell can already. That's the last resort. But then its kinda bad cus selling lousy food to others then scamming them telling that its good food will result in having BAD KARMA.
Thank you. And jiayou.
Let's be lame now!
Cookies with Love WHOOSH.
P.S. Oh and photos wise, are we going to print them out? Cus the last attempt was quite screwed up a lot of steps are wrong. And the sequence of the photos are spaced quite far apart. if no need photos then no need i think we can just show them then they follow suit. Printing photos will further add cost to our budget.
P.P.S The recipe someone print out! JOONWEE! Ingredients parts can follow the old one if you all want, just remember the important pointers during mixing. Good luck on monday morning!
A closeup look.
